Death’s Wings
This unforgiving white took over
The bleeding roses that were my lips
Where lovely traces of heaven’s kiss
Seep into my ashen skin
Till that tender caress does embrace
And feather together to form
Death’s Wings
As victory
Like an eagle
Swooping down on Earth’s blind love
With eternal beauty
Soaring free
Sight by mere emotion
Though death does reap the joy that was once my soul
This day may end triumphant
